Elizabeth "Betty" Schular

Elizabeth “Betty” (Cody) Schuler, 88, of Bristol passed away at home on May 23, 2026.

Elizabeth was born January 6, 1938, in Brooklyn, NY.  She was the daughter of the late John and Leticia (Bernier) Cody. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Timex of Middlebury and Bristol Hospital.  She was a communicant of St. Casimir Church, Terryville. She loved animals with all of her heart especially her cats Samantha, OJ, Mickey and Snoop.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Schuler of Bristol; her brother, William Cody and his wife Kimberly; her grandsons, Shane Schuler and Cody Michaud. She was predeceased by her daughter, Sandy Schuler and her ex-husband Anton “Cy” Schuler.  Proverbs 31:31 “ Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her work bring her praise at the city gate.”

Funeral services will be held 11 AM on Thursday May 28, 2026 at the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St., Terryville.  Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM.  Entombment will be in Holy Family Chapel Mausoleum, Bristol.  www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
