Elaine Pierzanowski-Blosick

Elaine Pierzanowski-Blosick, 73, of West Haven, widow of Gregory Blosick, passed away Sunday, February 11 at Hartford Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born October 18, 1950, in New Britain, CT, the daughter of Irene (Maronski) and Eugene Pierzanowski.
Elaine was a graduate of Terryville High School and completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Central Connecticut State College.  She was a teacher in Bennington, Vermont as well as with the Boston Public School system.  She carried on her teaching skills in a variety of positions and places, including China, with Gregory.
Before she met and married Gregory the love of her life, Elaine lived in Winthrop, MA for many years.  She had amassed a great circle of friends in Massachusetts and beyond, friendships that have endured to this day.
Elaine is survived by her stepmother, Patricia Pierzanowski; her sister Rebecca Doyle and her husband Patrick of Harwinton; her brothers, Stanley Pierzanowski and his better half, Cindy Gaito, of Revere, MA, and Keith Pierzanowski; as well as several friends, cousins, nieces, and nephews and great nephews. She is also survived by her extended Blosick family and her family from San Francisco.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 10:30am from the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main Street, Terryville, CT to the Immaculate Conception Church, 170 Main Street, Terryville, CT. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home from 8:30am until leaving for church.  Burial will be at St Mary’s Cemetery. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
