Elaine (Vito) Blades

Elaine (Vito) Blades, 81, of Terryville, wife of David Blades, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at home. She was born December 3, 1942, in NYC, NY, daughter of the late Joseph and Madeline Vito.

Prior to her retirement Elaine taught at Harding High School in Bridgeport. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Sacred Heart and her Master’s in Science from SCSU. She was a parishioner of St. Thomas Church, Thomaston. She loved her students, running, being outdoors, and to winter in Florida. She was loved by her family, her friends and her students.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her son Richard J. LaManna and his wife Kimberly of New Haven and her daughter Karen E. LaManna of FL.

Family and friends may visit the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville, on Thursday, June 13, from 5-7 PM, with a service at 7. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
