Donna Jean (LeSavage) Cornish

Donna Jean (LeSavage) Cornish, 93, of Terryville, wife of the late Earl Cornish, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children, on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Ingraham Manor Nursing Home in Bristol.

Donna was born on August 24, 1931, in Duluth, MN. She was the daughter of the late James and Evelyn LeSavage and the oldest of five children. She is survived by her siblings Richard, Fredrick, and Margaret; and was predeceased by her sister Kathryn. All who adored and abundantly loved her.

Predeceased by her beloved husband, Earl, of 64 years, she is survived by her children: Steven of Southington; Timothy and his wife, Monique, of Bristol; Kristine Dobrowolski of Bristol; Richard and his wife, Vickie, of Terryville; Thomas and his wife, Elizabeth, of Southington; David Cornish and Robin Gilghrist of Silverthorne, CO; Sharon Harshaw and her husband, Gregory, of Simsbury. And survived by many nieces and nephews, cherishing the special bonds she shared with Lizette Pelletier and Patty Gangl.

Donna was a devoted grandmother to her beloved grandchildren and their spouses: James and Michelle Cornish, Nicholas and Melissa Cornish, Louis Cossette, Sgt. US Army, and Angie Cossette, Jessica and Richard Sanzo, Dustin and Lauren Dobrowolski, Samantha and Nick Chiasson, Owen Cornish, Sgt. US Marines, and his fiancée, Meaghan Rosenberger, Michael Cornish, Rachel Harshaw, David Harshaw, and Brian Harshaw. She was also blessed with seven precious great-grandchildren: Hannah Cossette, Carter and Matthew Sanzo, Richard Cornish, Tuesday Cornish, Wren Chiasson, and Chase Dobrowolski, who all knew her as GiGi.

A calling hour will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 3, at Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St., Terryville; immediately followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Casimir Church, 17 Allen Street, Terryville, where Donna was a member. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
