Donald Edwin Richard Russell

Donald Edwin Richard Russell 72, passed away unexpectedly on April 12, 2024. 

In his earlier years, Don was a carpenter who loved creating artwork out of wood and leather, fishing, and being outdoors. He was a loving father of six children to previous wife, Kathleen Dempsey: Rebecca Doyle of FL, Amber Thibeau of CT, predeceased by his son Donny of CT, Jessica Russell of CT, Amanda Antunes of UT, and Brian Russell of CT. Don has 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. 

He spent his last years of life with his loving, and dedicated wife Louise Spielman Russell. He has a niece and two nephews, Traci Russell, Gordon Russell, and Don Willequer. Don was predeceased by both parents, Gordon Russell of AZ and Jeannine (Henry) Russell of UT and a sister, Christine Ellen Russell Bemis Willequer. Burial for Don will be Friday, April 19, at 1PM in New Pine Grove Cemetery, 850 Meriden Rd, Waterbury. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
