Donald T. Logan, of Bristol, passed away on Saturday, (December 16, 2023) at Bristol Hospital. He was the husband, for 73 years, of Dorothy (Yurewitch) Logan. Donald was born on April 20, 1926 in New Britain to the late John and Josephine (Sinskie) Logan. He attended Plainville Schools. Donald proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Donald was employed by West Hartford Stair and Cabinet before his retirement.
Along with his brothers, Donald’s zeal for life was the outdoors. In his younger years, he was a long time member of the Bristol Fish and Game Club. He enjoyed swimming, hunting, fishing, biking, hiking, and working around his yard. He also greatly enjoyed wood working often surprising his family with gifts of his many wonderful creations. For many years, he was also a member of the Single Action Shooting Society (SASS), cowboy shooting. He always wanted to be a cowboy!
Donald truly loved his family. Along with his loving wife Dorothy Logan he leaves his devoted daughters, Dawn Dupuis and her husband George of Terryville, Doreen Bartkowski of Old Lyme, and Melissa Curtis of Old Lyme; six grandchildren, Scott and Heather Dupuis, Jennifer Crago and her husband Rob, Alexandra Bartkowski, Jacob and Maggie Curtis; two great grandchildren, Asher Murphy and Rocco Misenti and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Daniel Logan, son in-law Gregory Curtis, half bother Jack, brother Gene Logan and his wife Lena, brother Robert Logan and his wife Magdelena, brother Clifford Logan, and sister Janet Mastrianni and her husband Jack.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, December 22 at 11 AM at St. Josephs Cemetery, 151 Farmington Ave, Plainville, CT. All are invited to attend. A celebration of Donald’s life will be held in the Spring. Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, is assisting with the arrangements. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
