Diane Pesino Witkowski of Southington, CT, passed away peacefully at Bristol Hospital on March 11th, 2025, at the age of 74. Witkowski was born on March 31st, 1950, in Bristol to Charles and Violet Pesino. She graduated from Wolcott High School and spent most of her career as a manager. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2024 and fought bravely alongside her many loved ones.
She is survived by her daughter Susan Harton and her husband Michael Harton; her grandchildren, Jacob Harton and his wife Ashley Velleco, Taylor Harton and her fiancee Christopher Thomas, her “grandpup” Teddy Harton; her son Joseph Witkowski and his partner Bruce Paul Reik; her sister Janice Sullivan and her husband Bob Sullivan; her niece Sarah Sullivan Thompson and her husband Dave Thompson; her daughter-in-law Rachael Witkowski and grandson Seamus Witkowski; and her niece Ande-Lin Furst and her husband Eric Furst. She was predeceased by her husband Walter Witkowski and her son Nicholas Witkowski.
Witkowski enjoyed dining out with her friends, listening to her beloved Elvis Presley, and snuggling with her cat, Charlie.
Friends and family are invited to a Mass at St. Casimir Church in Terryville at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 18th. A private burial will follow at the State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that mourners make a donation to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation, a cause that was very important to Diane.
