Dennis Ringsted

Dennis Ringsted, 71, of Terryville, passed away surrounded by his beloved family on May 22, 2024. Born in Torrington, he was the son of Norma (Bell) and Irving Ringsted.

Dennis, a man who went above and beyond for the people he held close to his heart, loved the Hallmark channel, golfing, bowling, his dogs, and poker.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Johnson) Ringsted; his two daughters, Melissa Ringsted and Kirsten (Ringsted) Fontaine and her husband Jason Fontaine; his sisters, Francis (Ringsted) Carpenter and Holly (Hull) Mann; brother-in-law Robert Johnson and his wife Anita Johnson, Sister-in-law Jessica (Olsen) Ringsted; nieces, Judee Ann (Ringsted) Burdock, Karen (Johnson) Dutko and nephews, Kenneth Ringsted, and Alan Johnson. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Kendric, Audrey, Amelia, Jordyn, and Trinity, and great-grandchildren, Layla, Madyson, Aurora, Harper, and Timothy Jr. along with great niece Jessica Beaulieu and great nephew Thomas Beaulieu. He was predeceased by his brothers, Alan Ringsted and Louis “Dewey” Ringsted, Sister-in-law Rosalie (Socha) Ringsted, and nephew, Robert Ringsted.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 1 PM at The Lyceum, 181 Main Street, Terryville, CT 06786. Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, is assisting with the arrangements. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
