David J. Dery, 64, of Morris, husband of Nancy (VanBuren) Dery, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2022, after battling a long illness, at Waterbury Hospital with his family by his side. David was born on November 7, 1957, in Waterbury, son of the late Arthur and Virginia (Boucher) Dery.
David was an avid horseshoe player, bowler, golfer and softball player, and he was even his son’s third base coach over the years. He loved the New York Yankee’s and the New York Giants. He was also known for his love of fireworks and threw an annual 4th of July party, complete with live music, a pig roast, and one of the best and brightest fireworks displays, for all his friends and family to enjoy. David loved his grandchildren and was very proud of all of their accomplishments.
Besides his loving wife of 45 years, David is survived by his daughters, Pamela Boutin and her husband Jeremy of Elgin, SC, and Stacey Pace and her wife Michelle of Torrington; his son Jeffery Dery and his girlfriend Kelsie Gorman of Northfield; his brother Raymond Dery and his wife Sharon of Bristol; his sisters, Annmarie Synott and her husband Joseph of Thomaston, and Nancy Ouellette and her husband Lenny of Maine; his sister-in-law Janet Healy of Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Amber, Alexis, Alicia, Logan, and Lucas; his grand-dogs Goose and Enzo; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. David is predeceased by his brother Arthur Dery, Jr.
