David Frank Boucher, 83, of Bristol, husband of Patricia (Jablonowski) Boucher, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. He was born May 25, 1941, in Bristol, son of the late George and Mary (Mandl) Boucher.
David served his country in the US Air Force and was employed by General Electric as a Troubleshooter. He loved sports and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, the Buffalo Bills, and the UCONN Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams. He was known as “Mr. Fix-it” and could fix anything. He was also very interested in model airplanes, after watching his father make them when he was younger. He will be deeply missed.
Besides his beloved wife of 57 years, David is survived by his daughter Barbara Rasmussen of Enfield; his brother Robert Boucher and his wife Lois of Norfolk, MA; his sister Judith Addison of Broad Brook, CT; his granddaughter Sierra DeFranzo and her husband Andrew; his great-grandchildren Konnor and Callie and his favorite buddy, his Morkie, Lucky. David was predeceased by his infant son, Jeffrey David Boucher.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024, 10 AM, at St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave, Forestville. Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville, is assisting with the arrangements. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
