Danielle L. (Beauparlant) Hughes

Danielle L. (Beauparlant) Hughes, 71, of Waterbury, wife of Terry Hughes, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Vitas at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury. She was born July 9, 1954, in Shawinigan Falls, Quebec, Canada, daughter of the late Paul Henri and Yvette Roland (Bournival) Beauparlant.

Danielle attended Sacred Heart High School in Waterbury and was a parishioner of The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Church, Waterbury, CT. She graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing, Class of 1975. She earned her BSN degree at Western Connecticut State University. Prior to moving to Florida in 1998, Danielle worked at Waterbury Hospital for over 20 years in ICU and ER departments. In Florida, she worked in Home Health Care until her retirement. Danielle was a devoted Nurse and truly loved caring for her patients. She had a passion for her profession. She loved the beach and the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. Danielle also enjoyed many genres of music. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially with her grandson, Colten. She will be deeply missed.

Besides her husband, Terry, of 48 years, Danielle leaves behind her daughter Shannon Dillane and her husband James, of Waterbury; her brother Michel H. Beauparlant of DE; her beloved grandson Colten Hughes of FL and many extended family members, nieces and nephews. Danielle was predeceased by her parents and her son, Michael W. Hughes.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM, Saturday, September 27, 2025, at The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Church, 74 W Main St, Waterbury. Burial will be private at Mt.
