Clorinda “Lori” (Evangelista) Raia, 85, of Terryville, passed away Friday, May 6, 2022, at Bishope Wicke Health Care in Shelton, CT. Lori was predeceased by her loving husband Leopold Raia, of over 60 years, her parents Anna and Umberto Evangelista, her brother Albert Evangelista and her grandson Joseph Maher.
Lori is survived by her daughters, Lisa Ciufo, Linda Johnson, Laraine Raia, and Lucy Raia; her daughters-in-law, Anna Burke and Riddie Smith; her fur baby Jersey; her grandchildren, Patrick Maher and Kate Gage, Korrin Leslie, Matthew and Megan Johnson, Lori and Steve Farthing, Jason Ciufo, Nathaniel Raia Burke, Emma Raia Burke, and Kinsey and Andrew Collis; and her great grandchildren, Etta, Alexa, Leo, Ollie and Nicky.
Lori was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was an avid reader and a good listener. She loved wine and game shows and helping her husband with his upholstery business. She taught her kids how to love unconditionally. She and Leo shared a very special love...one that began in high school and lasted all these years.
Lori was surrounded by her family in her final moments...and we take solace in the thought that she will be reunited with Leo once again. She will be missed.
