Carolyn A. (Yandow) Nadeau, 84, of Terryville, wife of Robert E. Nadeau Jr, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Pierce Memorial Baptist Nursing and Rehab Center in Brooklyn, CT. She was born January 9, 1941, in Burlington, VT, daughter of the late John and Thelma (Gagne) Yandow.
Prior to her retirement, Carolyn worked as an office manager for R.E.N. Manufacturing. Carolyn spent many years enjoying bowling, camping, and spending time at their house in the Poconos, where she relished time with family and friends. Carolyn loved taking trips to her home state of Vermont where she took pleasure in sharing many childhood memories. She found joy in prayer and shared her faith through the Women’s Guild, Eucharistic Ministry, and volunteer work at the food pantry in town. She was a long-time parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Church in Terryville. Carolyn and Bob lived in Terryville for over 46 years.
Besides her husband Bob, Carolyn is survived by her daughter April (Klecha) Schultz and her husband Robert of Brooklyn and her two grandsons, Cameron and Ryan Schultz, her children Michael Nadeau of Forestville; Suzanne Knox of PA; her sister Kathleen Almeida and her husband Carlos of Hebron; her grandchildren Patricia and Jennifer Nadeau and several nieces and nephews. Carolyn was predeceased by her parents and her son Robert M. Nadeau.
Family and friends may visit at the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville, on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 9-11AM, with a service at 11AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Terryville. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
