Bruce Edward Blasl, 73, of Wolcott, husband of Carol (Kosakowski) Blasl, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 20, 2022, at St. Mary Hospital in Waterbury. Born on April 29, 1948, in Farmington, ME, son of the late Homer and Doris Blasl.
Bruce proudly served in the US Navy in the Vietnam War. He worked as a credit manager with Simkins Industries in CT, and also as a restaurant manager. Bruce and his wife Carol were true lovers of animals, especially cats. Bruce had many years of illnesses, including cancer, but he always seemed to pull through and become a stronger man.
Bruce had a strong love of family and leaves behind his loving wife Carol; his four daughters, Amy Dauplaise, Carey Kelly, Allison Blasl, and Heather Groves; his brother Brian Blasl; and his seven grandchildren. Bruce is predeceased by his brother Dennis Blasl.
A private bereavement ceremony will be held in the spring at a time and place to be announced. Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St. Terryville is assisting with the arrangements. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
