Bonita May (Norton) Mackiewicz, 74, of Kensington, CT and Lehigh Acres, FL, widow of Robert H. Mackiewicz, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, surrounded by her loving daughters.
Born on June 26, 1948, to the late William & Virginia Norton, she lived most of her life in Plymouth, CT where she graduated from Terryville High School.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Moose Lodge and The Fraternal Order of Eagles 3938.
Those who had the pleasure of knowing her, knew she was a true friend, had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. She had a strong zest for life and loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed going on day trips and vacations with her family, but her greatest joy was being Nana.
She leaves to mourn her daughters & sons-in-law, Leanne & Mark Kozon of Kensington, Robin & John Morin of Columbia. Her precious grandkids, Alex Klimkoski, Kelsey, Emily & MJ Kozon. Her sisters Karen (Larry) Nodine, Janet (Dan) Stevenson and Mary (Bob) Lewis. Her Mother-in-Law, Dorothy Mackiewicz, and her Brother-in-Law, James Mackiewicz, as well as a wonderful extended family and many dear friends.
Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother, William Norton, and her Father-in-Law, Henry Mackiewicz.
Please join us in celebrating the life of Bonnie Mackiewicz on Saturday, November 5th, from 12 - 2 pm at the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main Street, Terryville, followed by a luncheon at the Black Rock Tavern, 78 Main Street, Thomaston, CT.
