Bernice (Bouchard) Deschaine

Bernice (Bouchard) Deschaine 97, resident of Bristol CT, formally of Terryville CT, passed away peacefully on Dec. 10, with family at her bedside.

Bernice was queen of the ballroom dance floor, she also enjoyed traveling, bowling, dining out, socializing with friends at Village Gate, and spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.       

Bernice is survived by her loving children Roger and wife Susan Deschaine of Ogden UT, Sharon and husband Bill Plouffe of Sterling MA, Carl and wife Barrie Deschaine of Farmington CT; eight loving grandchildren; nine adoring great grandchildren; sister Yvette Albert of Plainville, Fern Bergeron of Terryville, and Simone and husband George Bouchard of Plainville, and many nieces and nephews. 

Bernice was preceded by her husband Nelson Deschaine; son Maurice and wife Myra Deschaine of Menlo Park, CA; sisters Thelma of the Sisters of Holy Rosey mother house Rimouski Quebec Province, Canada, and Candid Bouchard and husband Ronald Bouchard Madawaska ME, Claudette and husband; brothers-in-law Jean Albert Plainville CT, Samuel Bergeron of Terryville CT, Joseph Maksimczyk of Plainville CT; and her parents Charles and Yvonne (Ouellette) Bouchard.

Relatives and friends may call at the Scott Funeral Home on 169 Main St., Terryville on Monday, December 13th from 9:00 am 9:45 am, with a service at 10:00 am Immaculate Conception Church Terryville, CT.  Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
