Barbara (Byram) Squires, 61, of Terryville, widow of Kevin A. Squires, passed away in the loving embrace of her beloved daughter on Saturday, December 24, 2022, at Vitas at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury. She was born on January 21, 1961, in Waterbury, daughter of Carolyn (Fabas) Byram and the late Ronald Byram.
Barbie was a former waitress at Chute Gates Steakhouse in Terryville and volunteered for the Terryville Lions Club. She loved her family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed her frequent trips to Florida and card games with her family, which often heard “the pencil always wins”.
Barbie leaves behind her mother Carolyn (Fabas) Byram of Inverness, FL; her daughter Kari Squires of Farmington; her brothers, Gary (Michelle) Byram of Wolcott, Glenn (Peggy) Byram Terryville, Gerald Byram of Wolcott; her sisters, Brenda (Michael) Rinaldi of Wolcott and Beth (Frank) Healey of Waterbury; brother-in-law Michael Gizzie of Wolcott, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Besides her husband and father, Barbara was predeceased by her sister Beverly Gizzie, her brother Gregg Byram, and her niece Cynthia Byram Deleo.
