Barbara J. Watson, age 71 of Plymouth, Connecticut, entered into eternal rest on Thursday morning, October 13, 2022 with her three loving sons at her side. Barbara was born Barbara Jean Holmes on November 11, 1950 to the late John R. and Hazel (Potter) Holmes. Barbara graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in 1971. For over 35 years she dedicated her life to caring for many people while working at Bristol Hospital in their ICU/CCU and psychology departments. Barbara also volunteered on various board and committees in the community.
Besides being a dedicated nurse, Barbara was a loving mother and grandmother that gave everything she had to her sons and their families. Barbara is survived by her three sons, Michael of Plymouth, CT, Steven and his wife Jody of Wolcott, CT, and Brian and his wife Heather of New Hartford, CT; three grandsons, Nicholas, Alex and John and her little princess granddaughter Hazel.
Barbara was pre-deceased by her sister Sharon Scheithe and nephew Robert Scheithe. Barbara is also survived by her sister Carol Tardif of Augusta, ME; two nieces, Nicole Tardif and Corie (Ryan) Tyrol; and three nephews, John (Angela) Scheithe, Donald (Julie) Scheithe, and Robert (Arlene) Tardif.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 21, 10 AM at St. Thomas Church, 1 E. Main St, Thomaston. Entombment will be at the Holy Family Mausoleum in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Family and friends may visit at Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, on Thursday, October 20, from 5 to 7 PM. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
