Barbara Gayle (Kellogg) Vance

Barbara Gayle (Kellogg) Vance, 77, of Terryville, wife of William Vance Sr, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025, at home. She was born March 15, 1948, in Lincoln, Maine, daughter of the late George and Jennie (Stepinski) Kellogg.

Barbara attended Becker Jr. College in Massachusetts, earning her associate’s degree. She was a very generous, kind and selfless person with a big heart. She was so nice and helpful to everyone. She truly loved her family and loved being with them. She enjoyed going for walks often and watching the Game Show Network.

Besides her beloved husband, William, she leaves behind her sons, William Vance Jr. and his wife Vicky of Watertown and George Scott Vance of Ansonia; her daughter Christine D’Alessio and her husband Anthony of Ansonia; her sister Rachel Doheny of Terryville; her nephew Ryan Doheny; and her grandchildren, Arline, Tyler, Hailey, Shawn, George Jr., Katelyn, Jacob and Johnathan. Barbara was predeceased by her parents, a nephew, Shawn Doheny and a granddaughter, Lilly.

A Celebration of Life for Barbara will be held Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 12-3 PM at the Wood Acres Farm, 68 Griffin Rd, Terryville. Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville, is assisting with the arrangements. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
