Arnold R. “Arnie” Burn, 80, of Torrington, formerly of Thomaston, husband of Marcia (Smail) Burn, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Havencare at Valerie Manor in Torrington. He was born November 29, 1945, in Bristol, son of the late Theodore Burn and Doris (Litchfield) Waters.
Prior to his retirement, Arnie was employed by The Torrington Co. He enjoyed woodworking, tubing down the river with his friends and family, and loved to play and teach cribbage. In his later years he like to spend time at the Senior Center in Torrington. He was a very funny and fun-loving guy who was always playing pranks on his friends and family when he could.
Besides his beloved wife, Marcia, of 60 years, he is survived by his sons, Michael Burn and Richard Burn and his wife Janis; his daughter Christine and her fiancée Michael Fusco; his grandchildren, Scott, Laura, Saige, Lizzie, Nathan, Michael, Shannon, Jeremy and Krystal; his great grandchildren, Breya, Avelyn, Faith and Hope and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his stepfather Bill Waters and his siblings, Sheldon, Theodore and Flora Burn.
