Ann (Korytko) Luba, 79, of Terryville, wife of the late Stephen A. Luba for 57 years, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at home. She was born February 26, 1945, in Tampa, FL, daughter of the late Anthony B. and Mary (Fantasia) Korytko.
Prior to her retirement, Ann was employed by CV Mason Insurance Company, Bristol and the former Wood Agency in Terryville. For many years, Ann worked alongside her mother and father running the family business, Kory Beach of Bristol. As Ann ran the concession stand with her mother, her children, nieces and nephews enjoyed many ice creams, hot dogs, and hamburgers for many summers on the beach and in the lake. She was a parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Church in Terryville. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, walking, playing Rummikub and keeping her yard looking beautiful. Ann loved being with her family, family gatherings and babysitting the dogs.
Ann is survived by her sons, Matthew Luba and his wife Tabatha of Bristol, and Stephen Luba and his partner Yvonne Colton of Terryville; her daughter Kimberly Luba of June Lake, CA; her brother Anthony Korytko and his wife June of FL; her grandchildren, Rileigh and her partner Joe, Kory, Kaitlyn and Nicole and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, September 24, 9:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church, Terryville. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Family and friends may visit at the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville, Monday, September 23, from 5-8 PM. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
