Ada (McCusker) Lambert, 92, of Terryville, widow of Frederick J. Lambert, passed away September 13, 2024, at home. She was born September 1, 1932, in South Amboy, NJ, daughter of the late Robert and Grace (Weidenhamer) McCusker.
Ada was a long-time resident of Fairfield, CT and most recently resided in Terryville. Prior to her retirement, Ada was a professor of English with Norwalk Community College. She also taught Mass Communication and Film which was her passion. She was a founding member of the Home Cinema Society. After retirement, she assisted with writing and producing the documentary “Years in the Making.” Ada also loved to garden, cook and to can her own food.
Ada is survived by her sons, Fred Lambert and his wife Raynette, and Geoff Lambert; her daughter Rosemary Lambert; her sister Roberta Thompson; her partner for many years, Bill Allread; her former daughter-in-law, Beth Lambert; her five grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield. Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville is assisting with the arrangements. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
