My deepest and most heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. It was my honor and pleasure to work with Lois who was the first woman to serve as Cabinet Secretary-Treasurer during my term as Lions District 23B Governor in 1991-1992. She and I traveled most of the back roads in Hartford and Litchfield Counties during my official club visits during the year. I was again honored to present Lois with the Melvin Jones Fellowship award and present her with her Lions life membership. Her 90th birthday celebration in 2012 was the last event attended by me and my late wife, Betty, who passed away five days later. May Lois rest in heavenly peace now and forever.

Hello to my cousins - Marsha, Holly, Buz, and Sally,
Bill and I send our sympathies on the passing of your mom, our Aunt Lois.
She had a long life, but it never seems long enough. I will remember her smile, our trips to the beach as kids, and her work at the Congregational Church, where she spent many years. We never know when our 'day' will come, so all we can do, is live our best for others as well as for ourselves while we can. Aunt Lois will rejoin your dad, parents, her brother, and all those who left us before we were ready to say our last, "Good bye"... Bill is in Chicago until Sunday, and not wanting to drive alone, I will not be driving up from Maryland, to attend the funeral. Take care and cherish your memories. Love, Dee-Dee and Bill

Sally, Holly and the Barnes Family,
So sorry to read of your mom's passing.
There is not a time that I drive up Rte 6 that I don't look up at the corner of Orchard Street and remember ....
The times we walked to school, were checking out the " barn", were looking at the lawn,...
Time passes, things change, but the good memories remain.
Hold those good memories with your mom in your heart. They last a lifetime..I can tell you that from experience.
Thinking of you all.
