Barbara M. Brewer L.P.N., 63, of Plymouth, passed away June 13, 2015 at her home in Plymouth early Saturday morning.

Barbara was born Jan. 3, 1952 in Dayville, CT.  She was a forty year resident of Plymouth CT.  She is survived by her loving husband of forty-five years Charles A Brewer Jr., her two sons, Charles A Brewer III and Casey A Brewer both of Bristol CT.

Barbara, was a homemaker and mother in her early years of marriage to her husband, as the boys got older she attended Kaynor Technical School in Waterbury to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. Nursing was her calling as caregiver and loving person. She was also a Cub Scout leader, Member of The Loyal Order of the Moose, Ham Operator KA1MPJ,  godmother of many, and was an avid quilter.

She always loved that she was from a large family that survives her, Hazel Ricciardi (mother); Armand Cote, Vincent Ricciardi, Robert Ricciradi (brothers); Rita Finocchiaro, Donna Gagne, Diane Ricciardi (sisters). She also had many godchildren and neighborhood sons that she was always mothering. Her real passion in her later years were her grandchildren Charlie, Samuel, Gregory, Matthew, and Eric; her always loving “Brewer Boys”.

Please join her husband Charles Brewer; sons Charles, Casey; daughter in-laws Marie and Lorrie; and the rest of our family and friends for a small memorial service to be held 3:30PM Saturday at the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St., Terryville. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 1:30 to 3:30PM.

Oh, Charlie, Chuck, and Casey: This is so sad. Even though I know it has been a long road for you, this release for her does not make it any easier to accept. This death thing, even though widespread, sucks. My thoughts and heart are with you. Know that you are loved. ~ Rick Fowler

I am so very sad to hear of Barbara's passing. We spent so many hours and years together when we were younger and fondly remember the trouble we got in to as well. My deepest sympathy to the whole family, and especially to you, Chuck.
