Mary Bartkowski (DelMonte), 92, of Concord, MA passed away on Thursday November 13 at Emerson Hospital following a brief illness. Mary, a first generation American, was the daughter of Antoinette Cioto and Louis DelMonte of Italy. She survived all of her siblings, Bernadine DelMonte, Phyllis and James Covey of Rocky Hill, Frank and Sandy DelMonte of Cromwell and Louis and Nellie DelMonte of Middletown.She was a resident of Hartford, CT for 30 years before moving to Terryville. Mary was married to the late Benjamin Bartkowski for 30 years and resided on Riverside Ave for 52 years. She was a member of St. Casmirs Church, an active Senior Citizen and employed by the Plymouth School Lunch Program.Mary spent her last seven years in Massachusetts, residing at Traditions of Wayland and The Gardens at Newbury Common in Concord.Mary leaves behind two children, Kathleen B. Greenberg and husband David of Maynard, MA, and William J. Bartkowski of Lebanon, NJ. Four grandchildren; Jesse, Benjamin and Sacha Greenberg of MA and Alexandra Bartkowski of NJ.Beloved nieces and nephews include James and Betty Covey of NH. Loretta and Frank Ramsey, Mary and Tom Ryan, Annette Del Monte, Elaine Buyanoski, the Shea Family, Cynthia and Charles Higgins, and the Hintz Family, all of CT and Sharon and Ray Shields of VT. Mary loved her 14 grand-nieces and nephews.Please join us for a celebration of Mary's life at Scott Funeral Home in Terryville CT on Monday November 17th. Calling Hours from 9 -11 AM, Mass at St. Casmirs Church 11-12 and burial at St. Mary's Cemetery. There will be a 1 PM reception at the Terryville Lyceum. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation c/o Deb Boyden at The Gardens, 80 Deaconess Rd. Concord, MA 01742.
