Lee (Orlowski) Blaszkiewicz, of Terryville, former Bristol resident, wife of Bruno Blaszkiewicz died Friday (Dec. 13, 2013) at home.
Lee was born July 12, 1940 in Poland. She was the daughter of the late Wladyslaw and Sabina (Ryszkiewcz) Orlowski and had been a resident of Bristol most of her life. Prior to her retirement she worked for Pratt and Whitney of Middletown. She was a communicant of St. Gregory the Great Church, Bristol, member of the Conn. River Council of Boy Scouts, she was a Unit Commissioner, and was a member of the Catholic Committee. She earned her Wood Badge, received her Silver Beaver and the St. George Award.
Besides her husband she is survived by her son, Mark Blaszkiewicz and his wife Tanya of Terryville; her brothers, Edward Orlowski of Poland, Jozef Orlowski and his wife Barbara of New Britain, Ryszard Orlowski and his wife Julie of Cheshire; her sisters, Janina Gospodarczyk and her husband Januusz of New Britain,, Halina Siarkowska of New Britain, Helena Smykowska of Poland, Krystyna Czyzewska and her husband Zygmunt of New Britain, Wanda Siarkowska and her husband Stanislaw of Poland; her grandson Christopher Blaszkiewicz and step grandchildren, Henry Card IV and Frances Card. She was predeceased by one brother and two sisters.
A memorial service will be held Saturday (Dec. 21, 2013) 3:00PM at the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St., Terryville. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 1:00 to 3:00PM. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
