Casmir T. Bycoski, 84, of Hartford, formerly of Terryville died Sunday July 27, 2014 at his home.
Casmir was born March 1, 1930 in Terryville, CT. He was the son of the late Albert and Lottie (Kalisz) Bycoski. He was a graduate of Cheshire Academy, attended Trinity College and Columbia University and received his P.H.D. from the University of Connecticut. Casmir was an entrepreneur, and was the C.E.O. of C.T. Bycoski Co of Hartford. Casmir was a communicant of St. Casimir Church, Terryville and was a member of the Polish University Club. He was active at the Wadsworth Atheneum and was a contributing member of the Godspeed Opera House. Casmir was an avid skier, an artist, he loved the beach, boating and vacationing at Cape Cod. His passionate discussions will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his sisters, Carolyn Mucha of New Britain, Bernice Kras of West Hartford and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and great grand nieces and great grand nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Ann Kensiski and Helene Bycoski and his brothers, Walter, John and Joseph Bycoski.
Funeral Services will be held Friday Aug. 1, 2014 at 10:30AM from the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St., Terryville to St. Casimir Church, Terryville for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Terryville. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00PM.
