Loving Father and Grandfather
Terryville CT- Edward Vetre passed away Saturday, July 18, 2020. Ed was born on December 11, 1931in New Britain, CT to the late John and Jenny Vetre. He was the youngest of 13 children.
Ed grew up in New Britain, and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean war. He worked for the city of Bristol as a mechanic and was an avid fisherman and NY giants fan.
Ed leaves behind two sons, Edward Vetre and his wife Rona, of Terryville. Joseph Vetre and his wife Kim of Madison, NH. A daughter Susan and her husband Mickey Jensen of Bristol CT. And two grandchildren, Jeffrey Paquette and Eliza Cullen of Bristol. Ed also leaves his companion, Lillian Novello of Terryville, and his only surviving sibling, his brother Anthony of Wethersfield CT, and several nieces and nephews.
Ed will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain CT in a public ceremony at Military Site on Monday July 27 at 11:00 am

My most sincere condolences on Ed's passing. What a magnificent life he led and what a wonderful family he created. I will always remember his sharp sense of humor and soulful laugh.
