Charlene (Kennedy) Zukowski, 83, of Terryville, widow of Edward F. Zukowski died Wednesday February 25, 2015 at Bristol Hospital.

Charlene was born December 12, 1931 in Milo, ME.  She was the daughter of the late William & Grace (Young) Kennedy.  Prior to her retirement she was employed by the former Iseli Co. of Terryville.  She was a communicant of St. Casimir Church, Terryville and a member of the Terryville-Plymouth Senior Citizens.  Charlene enjoyed her cat Nunu and her trips to the casino.  Charlene was anxiously awaiting the birth of her first great grandchild. 

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and John Lupo of Wallingford, Tina & Dino Tedeschi of Newington, Sherry Zukowski of Unionville; her sister, Patricia McGlugritch and her husband Braden of Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Beth McLellan and her husband Ryan, John Lupo and his wife Jody-Lynn, Julianna Lupo, Stephanie Tedeschi and several nieces & nephews.  She is predeceased by her sisters, Gracie Chevalier and Claire Kennedy and her grandson, Edoardo Tedeschi. 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday Feb. 28, 2015 at 10:45AM from the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St., Terryville to St. Casimir Church, Terryville for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM.  Burial in the spring will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Terryville.  Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Saturday morning from 9:00AM until the time of the service.

Memorial donations may be made to the Plymouth Volunteer Ambulance Corps, 191 Main St., Terryville 06786.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Jessica Clement and her staff at the Neag Cancer Center at UCONN for their wonderful care.

So sorry for your loss. She was a wondrfull21 woman and a pleasure to work with at Iseli CO. I pray they find a cure soon for canccer

Tina and family- We are so sorry about your mom/grandmother. She was a wonderful person. She always had a warm friendly smile on her face when ever we saw her. She would always make us or me feel welcome in her home or at family gatherings. We are so sorry for your loss. She will be a special angel for all of you, including that new baby that will be here before you know it. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
