Francis A. Iorio Jr., 63, of Ellen Dr., Terryville, husband of Doreen (Paolucci) Iorio died Thursday at his home with his family by his side, after a brief battle with cancer.Mr. Iorio was born Feb. 11, 1944 in Waterbury, CT.He was the son of the late Francis A. Iorio Sr. and Margaret (Spear) Iorio and had been a resident of Wolcott most of his life moving to Naugatuck in 1994, then to Terryville 8 years ago.He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.He retired as a credit manager of United Oil Recovery of Meriden. He was active in Wolcott Youth Athletics, active in the Republican Party in Wolcott, and was a former member of the Wolcott Town Council.He was a basketball coach for Notre Dame Academy of Waterbury for many years and was actively involved in the Wolcott and Naugatuck Little Leagues.Frank was an avid Red Sox and UCONN fan, he loved to play golf and he loved to listen to music.
