Mary Visi of Plymouth passed away at Cook Willow Care Facility on March 8, 2008 at the age of 92.She was born in West Rutland VT and was the daughter of the late Gregory and Anna Jarrosak. The oldest of seven children she married Joseph L. Visi of Proctor VT and moved to CT, where they both worked at New Departure during World War II. Mary lived at Lake Plymouth for over 60 years and her husband passed away in 1964. She leaves four daughters and their husbands, Betty and Joseph Sendra of Bristol, Joan Lemere of Plymouth, Lynda and Bill Arlofski of Terryville and Janice and Thomas Simpson of Terryville; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Mary leaves her brothers, Joseph, Bill and John of West Rutland VT; her sisters Julia Wehren of South Windsor and Irene Allard and her husband Al of Fitchburg Mass. She was predeceased by her brothers Peter and Al.Mary was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an excellent cook, baker, seamstress and gardener, her flower beds were a joy to observe. She did carpentry and built her own wall and patio in her yard. Mary retired from Iseli Screw Machine and took time to help the elderly in their homes and to tend her garden. Our Mom will be missed; she had a dry humor and a big heart.Funeral services will be held Tuesday (March 11, 2008) 11:00 A.M. at the Scott Funeral Home 169 Main St Terryville. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery Thomaston. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday evening from 5-7P.M.In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Plymouth Volunteer Ambulance Corp. 191 Main St. Terryville CT 06786.The family wishes to thank Cook Willow and all who worked and cared so deeply for her; for the smiles and loving care they gave, all the years she was there.
