Georgia (Roskosky) Dear Rose, 82, of Plymouth, died Saturday (Sept. 27, 2008) at the Ct. Hospice in Branford after a long battle with cancer with her loving family by her side.Georgia was born July 11, 1926 in Terryville and was the daughter of the late Helen and George Roskosky. She was a member of St. Casimir Church, Terryville and St. Casimir Rosary Society for 32 years and served as president for St. Casimir Rosary Society for many years. She was also a member of Red Hats, Women's Guild, Terryville/Plymouth Senior Citizens and Daughters of Isabella. She worked in grocery retail for many years prior to retiring from Stop and Shop Companies after serving for 28 years. She retired in 1988 to take care of her grandchildren. She was devoted to her family.Georgia is survived by her husband of 42 years, Angelo "Pop" Rose of Plymouth; daughter, Rae Ann Etting and husband Jefferson of Plymouth with whom she made her home; daughter Toni Puzzo and husband Thomas of Waterbury; son Frank Rose and wife Kristi of Terryville; son Howard Dear of Bristol. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Howard Dear III of Ohio, Thomas and Kevin Puzzo of Waterbury, Jefferson, Jamison and Jackson of Plymouth, and Kasandra Rose of Terryville; three great grandchildren and a brother, Robert "Red" Roskosky of Burlington and a sister, Sophie Ferone of New Britain. She was predeceased by a sister, Marion Kozikowski and brother, Thomas Roskosky. She also leaves a special friend Rose Beaulieu and her family.Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10:30a.m from the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St., Terryville to St. Casimir Church, Terryville for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00a.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 - 8p.m.Memorial donations may be made to Connecticut Children's Medical Center, Hartford, CT or Bristol Hospital Cancer Care Center, Bristol, CT.
