Joseph "Jay" M. Zepecki, 48, of Bristol, former Terryville resident died Saturday at the Bristol Hospital.

Joe was born July 1, 1960 in Bristol, CT. He was the son of the late Joseph J. Zepecki Jr. and Linda A. (Michaud) Zepecki. Joe was a graduate of the Terryville High School Class of 1978. Prior to his illness he worked for Stephen World of Wheels of Bristol and Acura of Milford.

Joe is survived by his brothers, Rev. Ronald P. Zepecki, pastor of Ss. Peter and Paul Church, Wallingford and Paul J. Zepecki of Sherman, TX, he also leaves several cousins.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday (May 27, 2009) 11:00a.m. from the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St., Terryville to St. Casimir Church, Terryville for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Terryville. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 9:00 - 11:00a.m.

The family of Jay would like to thank his caregivers, Paul Grozik, Keith Frenette, and the Bristol Hospital Cancer Center and Hospice and also Rev. Rick Fowler.

I was so saddened to learn of Jay's death. I will offer my Mass Intentions and personal prayers for you and your family.

Hope that Joe has found the peace he had been looking for. Had the pleasure of working with him for many years and he gave us many laughs.
