Edward F. Zukowski, 74, of Terryville, husband of Charlene (Kennedy) Zukowski passed away Saturday (June 25, 2011) at Ingraham Manor, Bristol.

Edward was born October 4, 1936 in Terryville, CT. He was the son of the late Walter and Helen (Dzielenski) Zukowski Goulet and has been a lifelong resident of Terryville. He was a U. S. Navy veteran serving as a radio operator during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement in 1995 he was employed by the New Departure Co. of Bristol for 30 years. He was a communicant of St. Casimir Church, Terryville, member of the American Legion Plymouth Post #20 and the former Pequabuck Political and Social Club. Ed was an avid coin collector, loved the casino, UCONN Girl's Basketball and a Boston Red Sox fan.

Besides his wife, Charlene of 52 years he leaves, his daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and John Lupo of Wallingford, Tina and Dino Tedeschi of Newington, Sherry Zukowski of Unionville; his grandchildren, Beth Quinn, 1st Lieutenant John Lupo and his wife Jody Lynn, Julianna Lupo, Stephanie Tedeschi and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Helen Salvas, Virginia Kawiecki, and his grandson, Eddie Tedeschi.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday (June 28, 2011) 10:30AM from the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St., Terryville, to St. Casimir Church, Terryville for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00. Burial with military honors will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Terryville. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 5:00 to 7:00PM.

Memorial donations may be made to the Plymouth Volunteer Ambulance Corps, 191 Main St., Terryville.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Ingraham Manor for the exceptional care that was given to Ed.
