Diane Mooney, 52, of Torrington, formerly of Beacon Falls, died Wednesday (August 8, 2012) in Bristol at the home of her sister surrounded by her loving family following a courageous battle with cancer.

Diane was born May 10, 1960 in Waltham, MA. She was the daughter of Marilyn (Price) Mooney of Wolcott and the late William L. Mooney. She was employed by Turner and Seymour Mfg. of Torrington and formerly with BE Aerospace of Litchfield.

Besides her mother she is survived by her brothers, Steven Mooney and his wife Lucille of Terryville, George Mooney of Plainville; her sisters, Cynthia Natusch and her husband Roger of Bethlehem, Cheryl Hayden and her husband Jack of Bristol, Brenda Mooney of Plainville; her nephew, Daniel Natusch; her nieces, Jessica Fredericks, Sarah DeLeo, Danielle Schweikher and her grandnieces, Sophia and Olive.

A memorial service will be held Monday evening 7:00pm at the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St., Terryville. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 5:00 -7:00p.m. prior to the service.

Aunt Marilyn, Cindy, Cheryl, Brenda, Steven and George Please know how very very sad we are to hear of our cousin, Diane's passing.You are in our thoughts and prayers during this terrible time of grief and loss. I remember Dianne as a little girl, always with a smile on her face and laughing as we ran about up and down the stairs at 78 Lyman
