Cecile (Laverdiere) Marquis-Klaneski, 86, of South Carolina former Bristol resident, widow of Joseph P. Klaneski passed away Monday January 14, 2019 at home in South Carolina.

Cecille was born December 14, 1932 in Van Buren, ME, she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Amelia (Levesque) Laverdiere.  Prior to her retirement in 1989 she was employed by Fafnir Bearing of New Britain for 38 years.  She was an avid bowler and loved traveling.

She is survived by her son, Daniel Marquis and his partner, Shelly Sylvester of SC; her daughter, Diane Marquis of Bristol; her daughter-in-law, Terry Marquis of Bristol; her sister, Bernadette Cormier of ME, 5 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her precious dog Little Rascal.  She was predeceased by her sons, James and Darold Marquis, three sisters and a brother.

Funeral services will be held 11:30AM from the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St., Terryville to St. Matthew Church, Forestville for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00PM. Entombment will be in Holy Family Chapel Mausoleum, Bristol.   Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday morning from 9:30 to 11:30.   www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
